The Brief A

Arcline

Architecture & interiors studio, Chennai

Brief A

Spaces shaped by context, material and everyday life.

Arcline is a Chennai-based architecture and interiors studio working primarily with homeowners, hospitality businesses and selected commercial clients. The studio creates spaces that are highly considered without feeling excessive. Its work is shaped by architecture, materials, light and the way people actually use a space.

Available context

The studio works across residential, hospitality and selected commercial projects. No project names, locations or project photography are supplied.

Three sections to design

Section 1

Hero

Create the first impression of Arcline. The visitor should understand what the studio is and immediately get a sense of its design character.

Section 2

Studio

Introduce the studio and its approach. Make this more meaningful than a conventional About Us paragraph.

Section 3

Selected Work

Introduce Arcline's projects and create a reason for the visitor to explore the studio's work.

Keep the brief simple. Make the decisions.

Expected

Three connected homepage sections

Desktop and mobile layouts

Three genuinely different hero directions

Clear visual hierarchy

Design decisions that feel intentional

AI tools may be used for research, brainstorming, references, imagery, copy exploration or other workflow steps. Add a short note stating which tools were used and what for.

Three directions should be three ideas.

Before developing your final hero, explore three different approaches. The difference should be meaningful, not a colour or font swap.

Example

Image-led

The image carries most of the visual weight and the typography supports it.

Example

Type-led

Typography and composition carry the first impression with minimal dependence on imagery.

Example

Structure-led

A strong grid or information structure becomes the defining feature of the hero.

These are examples of the difference expected, not directions you have to copy. Choose the approach that best fits your selected brief.
